‘SOUTH’ is this fall’s intimate, can’t-miss new musical. Writer & performer Florencia Iriondo is accompanied by an acoustic, two-piece band in this heartwarming show that combines storytelling and evocative South American folk-pop music. The 2023 Pipeline Awards First Prize Winner for New Musical Theater, ‘SOUTH’ will make you feel nostalgic for the place —and time— called home. Developed in residency at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and New York Stage & Film, and shaped at the BMI Musical Theater Workshop, ‘SOUTH’ comes to Soho Playhouse for a strictly limited run, following sold-out performances at Nuyorican Poets Cafe and 54 Below. ‘SOUTH’ is produced, in part, with funds from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Pipeline Arts Foundation First Prize Award for New Musical Theater. Limited run: Sept 20 - Nov 15 at Soho Playhouse. Tickets: www.SouthMusical.com
